Welcome to The Wrinkle Market Chinese Shar Pei Kennel and Ranch. My journey loving this remarkable breed and commitment to their constant improvement began when I saw my first Shar Pei on the front of a boat on Lake Austin, Austin, Texas.  I was amazed at this unusual looking dog; I made it a goal to purchase one.  Then in 1986 I purchased my first Shar Pei, a male named Che’, eight months later along came my first female, Honey.  The saying is that you can not just have one; well I sure prove the theory.  In the beginning as I decided to eventually breed I had not even started The Wrinkle Market, the first Pei’s were named simply after me Pat’s, then later came The Wrinkle Market, which now is refined to be The Wrinkle Market Chinese Shar Pei Kennel and Ranch. 

Mike Holmes, my husband entered into the land of Pei when we met in 2005, he is now addicted as I am to this wonderful breed and committed to the improvement of the Chinese Shar Pei and our kennel.

The Wrinkle Market  Kennel and  Ranch in 2009 is now ready to start a new era in its growth.  Mike and I decided to purchase a home on acreage in the Wichita, Kansas area and build my dream kennel, boarding kennel and training  facility.  The kennel is completed and the remaining work is advancing, the Wrinkle Market crew will now reside in our new home at Benton, Kansas, which is around 9 miles from Wichita, Kansas.  Mike grew up in Wichita and  many of his family members reside there, so I get my kennel and we move to Benton, certainly a fair deal.

In 24 years I have loved, lost, made a commitment to improve the breed, and made many friends.  Sometimes a sad journey, sometimes laughter, always pride, but most of all love and joy.

This is a journey that I would travel over and over again.
